I Am

Yellow Wolf Nieves has sat with various elders including those from the Yaqui,Mayan, Mexica and Lakota nations who have embraced and honored her by sharing their teachings.  The only thing they have asked in return is for her to share what she has given with a humble heart.  She is asked to share and help her community by passing forward what she has learned.

A Brooklyn born woman of Taino descent, Yellow Wolf walks in pride as a woman of color, a woman who knows how important it is to know who your people are.  After growing up in New York City, she traveled across the country with her young family, beginning a return home to the land, and stopping in many magical places.  Inspired by an early teacher to become an avid reader, she soon found herself moving ever closer to "Creator", sitting with various elders in person and learning directly from these masters in an experiential and sacred way.  Her first pow wows, sweat lodges, pipe ceremonies and medicine experiences came to her in California, and by age 30 she was already well on her way to a serious and committed re-connection with her indigenous roots and spiritual path.

Throughout her own spiritual growth process she also carries forward the prayers and needs of the many women with whom she has come in contact over the years in her role as a counselor, social advocate and healing practitioner. She is graced with the ability to identify a wide range of solutions concerning personal, career and educational needs, by exploring belief systems in order to progress to the next level and helping women to thrive by addressing and recognizing their own needs, strengths and abilities.  Working for over twenty years with women to help them survive and even flourish after the challenges of domestic violence, abuse and sexual assault as well as other life challenges, Yellow Wolf has dedicated her life to empowering women and their families by helping them gain access to the tools they need to repair, rebuild and restore themselves as blessed human beings who "Walk In Beauty" on our Earth Mother.
